A native of Lafayette, Connie died Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at Oakmont Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center of Katy, Texas. She was 87 and a 60-year resident of Baton Rouge. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Sunday, May 8, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home Monday, May 9, from 9 a.m. until a religious service at 11 a.m. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Connie was a member of St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband to whom she was married for 63 years, Clarence A. Stone Jr.; two sons, Clarence Wayne Stone and wife Glenda, of Houston, and Michael Louis Stone and wife Andrea, of Carrollton, Ga.; five grandchildren, Andrea Stone Bekurs and husband Patrick, Gregory Stone, Meagan Lindsay Stone, Marshall Patrick Stone and Madison Archer Stone; great-grandchild, Ethan Bekurs; and three sisters, Annie Mae Mock, of Baton Rouge, Grace Broussard Conques and Norma Lee Segura, both of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie J. and Anaise Comeaux Broussard; a brother Louis Broussard; and two sisters: Hazel Broussard Verot and Ruby Broussard Dartez.
