John Paul Loyd, age 75, of Oneonta, Alabama passed away at his residence on November 12, 2013. Mr. Loyd retired as a machinist in the fabrication industry. He is preceded in death by parents, Curtis and Ethel Roselyn Loyd, wife, Reba Green Loyd and brother, James Loyd. Mr. Loyd is survived by daughter, Tina Morton of Snead; sons, Michael Loyd (Kathy) of Blountsville, John Loyd (Rhonda) of Somerville, Curtis Loyd of Pulaski, TN, and Kenneth Loyd (Karen) of Oneonta; grandchildren, April Holt (Tommy) of Tyrone, GA, Jason Loyd of Decatur, GA, Nancy Loyd of Oneonta, Reanna Pringle of Port Collins, CO, Adam Loyd, Jennivy Loyd of Columbia, TN, Jesse Hall of Brandon, MS, Sarah Harris (Jonathan) of Birmingham and Jacob Jackson of Snead; great grandchildren, Clayton Pringle of Fort Collins, CO, Alyssa Holt of Tyrone, GA, Draven Pringle of Fort Collins, CO, Nathan Loyd of Oneonta, John Logan Loyd of Harvest, Daven Loyd of Columbia; and sister, Sharon Loyd Gardner Timlia (Tom) of Lebanon, TN. Bro. Jerry Hackney will officiate funeral services on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 11AM from the Chapel of Lemley Funeral Home with burial following at Blount Memory Cemetery. Mr. Loyd will lie in state at Lemley Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 5:30PM until 8PM and on Thursday from 8AM until service time.
