Funeral services will be held this afternoon (Thursday) at 1 pm at Elim Lutheran church in Scandia for a former Scandia resident, 75-year-old Mrs. Charles Benson who died Sunday at the Oak Terrace Nursing Home in Minnetonka. The Rev. J. Henry Bergren will officiate at the services with Mrs. Wallace Ahlm the soloist and mrs. Vernon Morrison the organist. Interment with be in the Elim cemetery. Mrs. Benson was born Edith M. Shoberg in Scandia on December 14, 1888. Her husband Charles died in Ma6, 1944. She is survived by one nephew, and a niece.
