Allen Newton Henderson 1920 ~ 2007
Allen N. Henderson passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 29, 2007 in Draper, Utah at the age of 86. He was born November 27, 1920 in Garden City, Rich County, Utah to Hannah Isabella Sims and Samuel Henry Henderson. He married Neva Huggins on April 22, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He attended Ogden City Public Schools. Graduated from the University of Utah Law School, August, 1952. He passed the State Bar in September 1952. He served in the Armed Forces 1942-1946. He was honorably discharged as 2nd Lieutenant of the Infantry.

He owned and conducted a private Law practice in Salt Lake City from 1952 to the mid 90's until he retired. He specialized in Oil, Gas, and the Mining Law in the Western States. He served as President of the Law School at the University of Utah, Member of the Board of Directors at Westminster College, Salt Lake City. Chairman of the Utah Idaho District for Rocky Mountain Oil and Gas Association. Member of Import and Public Lands Committees of Petroleum Landman and represented Utah Petroleum Landman's Association on various committees to revise Utah State regulations for the Sate of Utah Land Board. He held active memberships in the Utah State Bar Association. Salt Lake County Bar Association, Independent Petroleum Association of America, Rocky Mountain Oil and Gas Association. Utah Association of Petroleum and Mining Landmen. Salt Lake Country Club and Bloomington Country Club in St. George, Utah. He was an avid golfer in his retirement years.

He was preceded in death by his wife Neva Huggins Henderson; his parents and all of his sisters, Genevieve H. Stones, Elizabeth, H. Phipps, Rozaleen H. Barnes, Vivetta H. Riddle, Sarah Henderson; two brothers Henry Sim Henderson, and James Sim Henderson. He is survived by many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be Fri. April 6, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Ogden, Utah.
