On October 16, 1940, Lindell Joseph Allard is 23 years old and living in the village of Vergennes in Jackson County, Illinois. He was born in Jackson County on March 6, 1917. He is self-employed. He is 5' 8" tall and weighs 196 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. His wife, Mrs. Frances Caroline Allard, will always know his address.

Lindell J. Allard was born March 6, 1917 in Vergennes, Illinois, the son of Julius Lloyd and Clara Marie (Boyer) Allard. His siblings include Doris Frick (spouse, James) of Cocoa, FL and a sister who preceded him in death.


He married Frances C. Endres on April 28, 1939 at St. Louis, MO. She passed away June 5, 1997. His children include Carolyn Johnson and husband of Elkville and David Allard (Diana Halwachs) of Elkville.


Mr. Allard was a retired repairman for Freeman United Coal Co., retiring in 1979. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin, UMWA local 9721 and a past member of the Robinson Elks Lodge.


Mr. Allard died at the age of 83 on Saturday, March 25, 2000 at Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin. His funeral was held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin. Msgr. Harry Jerome officiated. Searby Funeral Home (Du Quoin) was in charge of arrangements.
