Steve William Wallace, 60, passed away on November 9, 2013.

Thirty years of service in the USN, DDS, traveled the world via gray ships, with a final port of Jacksonville, where he lived his last 10 years. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his father, George W. Wallace, his mother Gloria C. Wallace; he is survived by his high school sweetheart & wife, Debbie Wallace, son Brian W. Wallace and wife Jamie; and grandchildren, David W. Wallace, Adam W. Wallace, Jason W. Wallace and a bump due in March; and his sister Becky Ferguson and husband Charles Pudgy.

He loved his Lord and is now telling his mother about all her wonderful great grandchildren including three sets of twins. All will miss his humor, great smile and practical jokes. Fair winds and following seas, I stand relieved.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30am, Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Naval Station Mayport Chapel, 350 Massey Ave., Mayport 32228. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Interment will follow in Jacksonville National Cemetery with military honors. Arrangements by Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd N., Jacksonville.
