She graduated from the Mary Washington College in 1981 with a degree in Economics. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. She worked for the Loudoun County Public Schools for almost 17 years, and was very involved in the church at New Jerusalem Lutheran Church.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Barry Glenn Williams.
Survivors in addition to her father of Waynesboro, include her four sons, Christian Williams and his wife, Tonya, of San Diego, California, Greg Williams and his girlfriend, Erika, of Stafford, Andrew Williams and his girlfriend, Kelly, of Philippi, West Virginia, Benjamin Williams and his wife, Courtney, of Purcellville; a daughter, Laurie Williams of Waynesboro; a sister, Leslie Fitzgerald of Crimora; four grandchildren, Layne, Hannah, Brynna, Mason; and a niece, Allison Fitzgerald.
A private family graveside service will be held Friday, August 12, 2011, at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2011, at Bethany Lutheran Church by Pastor Tim Bohlmann. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Huntingtons Disease Society of America, 8303 Arlington Blvd., Suite 210 Fairfax, VA 22031.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes and Crematory. Friends and family are invited to share condolences and sign the guest register at www.reynoldshamrickfuneralhomes.com.
