Florence Elizabeth (Davis) Banks, 85, of 1203 Willard St., passed away at 7:10PM Saturday at her home, surrounded by numerous family members and friends.

She was born in Bucyrus to Charles and Carrie (Frost) Davis. She was married July 23, 1934, to Norman Jesse Banks. He preceded her in death Dec. 16, 1989. She was also preceded in death by one son, James Banks, four grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, two sisters and one brother.

She is survived by nine sons, John Banks and wife Linda, Luther Banks Sr and wife Alice, Norman Banks & friend Linda Christlieb, Ronald Banks and friend Dreama Bowman, Richard Banks, Donald Banks and wife Lisa, Tommy Banks and wife Sherri, all of Bucyrus, Charles Banks of Galion; two daughters, Mary Thomas and Husband Dan of Bucyrus, and Linda Banks and fiance Curtis Blevins of Bucyru; 33 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter, two brothers, William Charles "Chuck" Davis and Harold Davis, both of Bucyrus; two sisters, Stella Browning and Mary "Teet" Wiley, both of Bucyrus; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Banks had lived her entire life in Bucyrus and was a homemaker. She was a member of Kaler Avenue Church of Christ in Christian Union, where she had taught Sunday school. She was a former member of the Salvation Army Band, (playing the cornet.)

Services will be at 11 AM Wednesday at the Church of Christ in Christian Union. The Rev. Bob Jividen will officiate and burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9PM, Tuesday at the Munz-Pirnstill funeral home.
