EDINA, Mo. — Mrs. Mary A. Vansickle, 83, of Edina, died at 8:30m p.m. Friday (Aug. 3, 1979) in a Kirksville hospital.
Mrs. Vansickle was born March 12, 1896, in Illinois, a daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Stang Stephan. She married William Cardwell, June 24, 1915. He died Dec. 5, 1947. She married Leo Vansickle, Oct. 5, 1951. He died Dec. 22, 1978.
She was a member of the Mount Carmel Extension Club.
Surviving are a son, William Cardwell, Jr. of near Edina, a daughter, Mrs. Edna Mildred Struzzo of Kansas City, a step-daughter, Mrs. James (Leta Mae) Binkley of Baring, four sisters, Mrs. Anna Burkhart of CLarence, Mrs. Martha Eoff of Columbia, Mrs. Josephine Parrish of Edina and Mrs. Frances Myers of Knox City, eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by an infant son, two brothers and three sisters.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel in Edina, conducted by Bob Schofield. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemeteryr in Hurdland.'
