McMURRAY — Patricia Lynn McMurray, 68, of Chico, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, in Chico. Arrangements are under the direction of Newton-Bracewell Chico Funeral Home, 342-9003.

Patricia Lynn (Fisher) McMurray was born July 29, 1945 and passed on November 11, 2013 after a brave battle with cancer. She touched so many children and families in her life as a preschool teacher. She will be sorely missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Don, her children Denise, Joe (Janet), and Melissa all of Chico, Fred (Christa) of Castro Valley, her grandchildren Brett and Miranda from Chico, Peter and James from Pheonix, Arizona, Olivia from Castro Valley, and Sisters Marilyn Hartley (Ron), Carol Healy (Tom) and Sharon Saus (Ed) and their families all from Akron, Ohio, as well as numerous friends and extended family. Pat had a perpetual smile on her face and lit up every room she walked into. Her positive and loving demeanor was especially noticeable with children who flocked to her. She loved them as they loved her. So many parents sought her out for advice to help with their families. She was universally loved by all. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
