Awe, William (19 JUN 1887 - 25 JUN 1957)

William Awe passed away Tuesday evening, June 25, 1957, at the Neillsville Hospital. He had been ill only a short time.

He was born in the town of Green Grove (Clark Co., Wis.) June 19th, 1887. He was united in marriage to Louis Voightlander on Dec. 13, 1923 at Curtiss.

He is survived by his wife Louise and sons, Arnold at home and Calvin in Milwaukee; a brother Arthur of route 1, Owen; four sister, Lydia of Owen, Emma (Mrs. Burmeister) of Withee; Martha (Mrs. Ted Kippenhan), Owen, and Elizabeth (Mrs. Henry Voightlander) of Curtiss and two grandchildren. He had lived his entire life in Green Grove on his farm, six miles south of the City of Owen.

Services were conducted Friday, June 28 at the West Side Reform Church at Greenwood with Rev. Koch officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Arthur Humke, Norman Liebzeit, Walter Schwarze, Wm. Goeke, Henry Vollrath and Alfred Schwarze.
