Anita Shirley "Nita" Schlotterbeck, 79, of Hagerstown, died Sunday, June 8, 2003, at Fahrney-Keedy Nursing Home, Boonsboro. Born Oct. 4, 1923, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Elizabeth D. Ring Owens.

Her husband of 50 years, Harry E. Schlotterbeck, died Nov. 6, 1994.

She had been a member of Grace United Brethren Church of Hagerstown.

She is survived by one daughter, Darlene K. Huntzberry of Hagerstown; two sons, Jeffrey L. Schlotterbeck and Ted W. Schlotterbeck, both of Hagerstown; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Richard E. Schlotterbeck; two sisters, Bertha Schlotterbeck and Ruth Dye; and one brother, Charles Owens.

Services were held at the Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, Hagerstown; burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.
