COOKEVILLE — Funeral services for Winnie E. Martin Williams, 83, of Algood, were held at 2 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 8, from the chapel of Presley Funeral Home. Interment followed in Algood City Cemetery.

Mrs. Williams went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Aug. 27, 1930, in Clay County to the late Joby Franklin Martin and Margaret Ella Rachel Hall Martin of Allons.

Mrs. Williams was a Free Will Baptist minister's wife for more than 60 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and above all, put her faith and trust in God.

Her family includes three sons and a daughter-in-law, Donnie and Patsy Williams, Lonnie Williams and Tommy Williams, all of Cookeville; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Mike Adams of Cookeville; three grandsons, Stacy Williams, Jeremy Williams and Trenton Williams, all of Cookeville; a granddaughter, Jennifer Adams of Cookeville; five great-grandchildren, Whitney, Courtney, Ryan, Destiny and Lillian Williams, all of Cookeville; and two sisters-in-law, Allie Moody of Cookeville and Jewell Martin of Allons, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Earl Williams; five brothers, Arvil, TV, IB, MJ and Elmer Martin; three sisters, Bernice Savage, Beatrice Hunter and Clara Geesling; two daughters-in-law, Loretta and Brenda Williams; and a granddaughter-in-law, Rhonda Williams.

Pallbearers were family and friends.

Bros. Mike Adams and Estel Bilbrey officiated the services.
