Alwin Henry Mensing, 63, of Pine Island, died Friday, Nov. 10, at his home after a short illness. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran church with the Rev. Larry Kocha officiating. Burial was in the Concord Cemetery.
Born Jan 2, 1898, at Alden, Iowa, he married Minnie
Luedke at Kenyon Nov. 12, 1924. The couple farmed in the West Concord and New Haven Township areas until moving to Pine Island 10 years ago. He was employed at the Minnesota Cheese Producers Association at Pine Island for nine years.
Surviving his his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Arnold Ferder of
Byron; two brothers, Arthur of Pine Island and William of Finlayson; and two sisters, Mrs Rudolph Dohrman of Kasson and Mrs. Emil Dohrman of West Concord.
