Sometime before July 1947 she was married 1st to -- Whitlow. Then she was married 2nd sometime before Dec 1959 to Lloyd "Mack" McCoy (1934–2016), the son of Kermit McCoy Sr and Effie Maude (Bryant) McCoy.
Living at 405 Burch Road in Clarksville, Tennessee, Clara was a member of Oak Grove American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 233 and was also a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church, where she served with the Missionary Society.
She was 66 years old and married when she passed away on December 7, 1989 as Florence Blanchfield Army Community Hospital.
Survivors included her husband, son Loyd Christopher McCoy in Virginia, daughter Barbara Carter in Clarksville TN, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held at Foston Funeral Home, and burial was in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Clarksville.
