Sharon G. Reid, age 64, of 103 Holiday Drive, Quincy, died Sunday, November 3, 2013, at 1:55 pm in her home.
Sharon was born November 13, 1948 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Eugean D. "Gean" and LaVora Simonson Reid. She was a 1968 graduate of Quincy High School and the Dallas Academy in 1972. Sharon was a member of Quincy Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed reading, watching television and embroidery as well as socializing with friends and family.
Survivors include a niece, Kristen (Jerry) Melching of Quincy, a nephew, Michael (Brenda) Reid Smith of Quincy; 3 great nieces and a great nephew, Alexandria and Regan Melching and Dakota and Zachary Smith, all of Quincy, and her long time friend, Margaret Coggeshall.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Beverly Smith and two aunts, Beulah Germann and Martha S. Garver.
Services: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Murray officiating.
Burial: Quincy Memorial Park
Visitation: 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home
