Jose R. Quinones, age 94, a resident of West Haverstraw for 24 years passed away October 30, 2013. He was born in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico on July 22, 1919. He served with distinction in the United States Army in WWII while he proudly represented his beloved Puerto Rico. He is survived by his family, his loving wife Ernestina Quinones of 67 years, his devoted son Jose R. Quinones Jr. and daughter-in-law Susan, four cherished grandchildren, Shalamar, Serina, Alexa and Raymond and five treasured great-grandchildren. A celebration of his life and Funeral Services will be held Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the George M. Holt Funeral Home, 50 New Main St., Haverstraw, NY. Burial with Military Honors will be held 11:45AM, Friday, November 1, 2013 at the Frederick Loescher Veterans Cemetery, Brick Church Rd., New Hempstead, NY 10977.
