Leo F. Cooper, 89, of Jonesville, passed away Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011 at Hillsdale Community Health Center.
He was born May 30, 1922 in Jackson County to Leroy and Elizabeth S. [Oteney] Cooper. He was married Aug. 23, 1952 to Barbara E. Waldner and she preceded him in death March 24, 2002.
Leo was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing and repairing small engines.
Surviving are two daughters, Brenda (John) McDowell of Pittsford; Deborah (Richard) Cooper of Hillsdale; four sons, Allen Cooper of Jonesville, Craig (Lucy) Cooper of Hillsdale, Barry (Becky) Cooper and Kenneth Cooper, both of Reading; a cousin, Pauline Sutton of Florida; ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother, and a granddaughter Stacey Marie Cooper.
