Victor died Thursday, July 14, 2005, at St. Francis Home in Breckenridge, MN, at the age of 95. Victor Albert Ball was born June 6, 1910, in Sarles, ND, to Joseph and Elizabeth (Brumwell) Ball. He graduated from Sarles High School. He married Martha Olson in 1944 in TX. He attended Valley City State College and obtained his BS in education in 1949. He was in the US Army for 3 years where he served in the military during World War II in the Asiatic Pacific. He taught band/chorus in Hope, New Leipzig and Ashley. He received his master's degree in school administration at the University of North Dakota in 1953. He was a superintendent and band instructor in the following North Dakota towns: Forman, Sawyer, Wimbledon, St. Thomas, and Crary. He retired from teaching in 1967 and became Sargent County Social Services Director until 1982 in Forman. He retired and resided in Forman until 2001. He enjoyed spending his summers at his lake cabin in SD with his family.
He is survived by one son, Joseph; three daughters, Carol Pinke, Myrna Ball, Vicki McPherson; six grandchildren; one brother, Milson Ball and one sister, Violet Ball.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Martha; a brother, Ted; and sister, Luverne Ward.
