Ena Belle (Hogue) Haynes was born on July 29, 1904 in Clarksville, Tennessee, the daughter of Edgar L "Motie" Hogue (1872–1940) and Lucy Lillian (McClanahan) Hogue (1886–1962).

She was married on March 31, 1923 as the 1st wife of Finis Hillman Haynes (1905-1999), the son of Richmond Haynes (1882–1972) and Liddie Wilmouth (Bumpus) Haynes (1883–1968). {It is noted that Finis was married 2nd on March 13, 1979 in Robertson County to Lady Belle Thomason (1900- ). AND, it is also noted that the published obituary for Finis in The Leaf-Chronicle on April 28, 1999 makes NO mention of his 2nd wife.}

Ena was a member of Cumberland Heights United Methodist Church

Still in Clarksville, Ena was 73 years old when she passed away on February 22, 1978.

She was preceded in death by her parents, while survivors included her husband, sons Bill Haynes, Hal Haynes and Finis Haynes Jr, daughters Nancy Powers, Madeline Williams, Jessie Faye Sibels, Willie Mae Shearon, Linda Winters, Bessie Mosier Moulton and Lucy Houze, brother Emette Hogue, sister Dorothy Jarman, twenty-three grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held at Cumberland Heights United Methodist Church, and burial was in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Clarksville.
