Marice A. Lumbert, 73, of Palatka and formerly of Charlotte, Mich., died Saturday, October 25, 2003 at the Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, Ind.
She was born in Lansing, Mich., the daughter of Milo and Arloa (Cook) Marcham and had lived in Charlotte for many years prior to moving to Palatka. While in Charlotte, she had been employed at many places including, Hi-Lo Restaurant, Dick's Restaurant, T.G.&Y. Store, Alpine Bar, One Hour Martinizing and the Washington Elementary School. She was a member of the Local Senior Citizens Group in Palatka.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Lumbert Jr., in 1999; granddaughter Courtney Lynn Lumbert in 1989, and grandson, Joshua Paul Handziak in 1999.
Surviving are her four daughters, Terrie (Elmer) Anglemyer, Waukarusa, Ind.; Patricia Dunham, Omaha, Neb.; Brenda (Gerald) Morvant, Groves, Texas; and Denise Handziak, Charlotte, Mich.; five stepchildren, Virginia (Ron) Plockeman, Reno, Nev.; Archie (Terry Bashore) Lumbert III, Potterville, Mich.; Barbara E. Jerome, Reno, Nev.; Peter J. (Nancy) Lumbert, Gobles, Mich.; and Steve (Lynda) Lumbert, Munith, Mich.; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Carl Marcham, Satsuma.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Oct. 29at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte, Mich., with Pastor Darold Hill of the Charlotte Free Methodist Church officiating.
Interment was in the Bosworth Cemetery, Olivet, Mich. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd 11 Nov 2003.)
