Jon Michael Green was born February 17, 1947 in Creston, Iowa the first child of Max and Jean (Cline) Green. He grew up on a farm near Prescott with the family later moving into Prescott. He graduated from the Prescott High School with the Class of 1965. On November 29, 1969 he was united in marriage to Joyce Blazek. The couple began their married life in Corning where they resided for several years before moving to a farm east of Williamson. In 1981, they moved to their present farm south of Williamson where they continued to live. To this loving union three daughters were born, Tonya, Trudy and Trena.
Jon was a beloved husband and devoted father and grandfather who loved to spend time with his family. He loved all things outdoors, working the farmland, raising livestock, hunting and fishing. Jon was a farmer and spent his life doing what he loved best . . . . farming! He was a member of the Prescott Christian Church where he served on many boards including the Prescott Church Board, Prescott School Board and Township Trustee. He also served on the Adams County Conservation Board, Lake Icaria Foundation, Adams County Cattlemen and was also a member of the Williamson Legion Post 719.
Preceding Jon in death are his father, Max Green; his father-in-law, Ernest Blazek; and brother-in-law, Larry Walter.
