Mrs. Adam Gellner passed away suddenly Jan 4. She and Adam had gone to the Mobridge Medical Clinic for her check-up. After, she and her husband were shopping at a Mobridge store when she felt ill and Adam rushed her back to the clinic where she passed away of an apparent heart attack. She had been in poor health for over a year.

Funeral services were Jan 7 in the United Parish Church of TL. Rev J Edwin Coates of Winner officiated. Special music was provided by Mrs. Wayne Solberg who sang "Amazing Grace" and Dean Fett who sang "How Great Thou Art." Valerie Garr was the organist.

Burial was in TL cemetery. Casketbearers were Wayne Solbert, Wayne Schlosser, Alfred Kougl, Douglas Scott, Herb Lippert, and James Meyer. Kesling FH in charge of arrangements.

Hazel Schemp was born Oct 10, 1909, at Ashley, ND, the daughter of Christian and Lydia Schemp. Her early years were spent at her birthplace. In 1919 the family moved to Isabel where she attended school. She married Adam Gellner in 1930 and the couple lived in Firesteel. In 1940 they moved to TL and she spent the balance of her life in this home.

In 1940 she started work in Office of Price Administration and worked her through WW II.

She is survived by her husband; daughter: Mrs. John (Bernadine) Johnson of Trail City; 2 grandchildren: Alan and Kathy Johnson; great-grandchild: Jeremy Johnson all of Trail City; three brothers: Harold Schemp of Yakima, WA; Alfred Schemp of Isabel; Clark Schemp of Leola; sister: Mrs. Ray (Laura) Weverstad of Pierre.
