Benjamin Franklin Stewart, 60 passed with his family by his side on November 5, 2013 in Jacksonville Florida.

Ben graduated from Paxon High School class of 1971 and from there joined the Navy. He retired from JEA in 2011 after 28 years of service. Ben was a member of the Fort Caroline Ward, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. Ben's passions was his dog Sammy, cooking, drawling, and his family; he also loved the fellowship with his church members.

Preceding him in death was his father Benjamin Stewart Sr. from Waycross, Ga. and his mother Fannie Ruth Godwin Morgan from Blackshear, Ga. Survived by his two daughters Michele (Skyler) Batchelor and Kimberly (Jonathan) Leonard. Grandchildren David C. Leonard, Jeremy J. Henretty, Keslie A. Leonard, Aubrie M. Leonard, Lukas L. Batchelor, Rylie L. Leonard. Sister Nancy Stewart and brother James (Cheryl) Stewart and Nieces/Nephews Nikki (Jared) Knudsen, Thomas Spitz, Brandy (Carlos) Hawkins, Bryan Stewart, Scott Stewart.

Ben's Children would like to thank the Fort Caroline Ward members; Bishop Haywood and the Elders for all they have done during this difficult time. A visitation will be held from 5-7pm, Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. N., Jacksonville. Funeral Services will be held at 11am, November 11, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 7665 Fort Caroline Rd, Jacksonville. Interment will follow in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens.
