John Ray Pierce, 90, of Fredericksburg, Texas, died November 6, 2013 at Fredericksburg Nursing Home. He was born July 21, 1923 in Carbon, TX. He was a longtime Burnett County resident. He was a U.S. Army vet. He retired from the Lower Colorado River Authority.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 12, 2013 in Lakeland Hills Memorial Park near Burnett under the direction of Girdner Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Agnes Muler Pierce, daughter Martha Faulkner and two brothers.
He is survived by a son, Bill Pierce and Cora of Abilene; brother, Aaron Pierce of Houston; two sisters, Elizabeth Lanningham, and Vergie Mahoney, both of the Dallas Area; as well as numerous grandchildren.
