There will be no viewing. Following cremation with Workinger-Semmel F.H. & Crematorium, Inc., 849 E. Market St., York, there will be a Celebration of Life Gathering at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at the family residence in Spring Grove. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Mr. Hess was born February 12, 1942 in York and was the son of the late Guy William and Mamie E. (Dull) Hess. He was a welder with Precision Components and also worked in shipping and receiving in their warehouse for a total of 43 years; enjoyed farming as a hobby and was a member of the Intl. Assoc. of Machinists & Aerospace Workers Local 1403.
Mr. Hess is survived by his wife; a son, Bradley A. Hess of Spring Grove; four grandchildren, Bryanne, Barry III, Bekka and Andrew Hess; a sister, Nancy Stine of Dover; and two brothers, Guy W. Hess, Jr. of Hamilton, Mont. and Robert Hess of York. He was preceded in death by two sons, Barry A. Hess, Jr. and Bryan A. Hess and two brothers, Bernell and Larry Hess.
