Markleville, Ind., Oct. 10 -- Max Duane Bond, five-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs, Myron Bond, died at 5:25 p. m. Sunday at St. John's hospital, Anderson, after a four days' illness. He was attacked by a mad dog September 15 while playing in a neighbor's yard and was given the Pasteur treatment. When taken to the hospital, his illness was diagnosed as spinal meningitis and pneumonia. He is survived by by the parents, a sister, Molly, age three; a brother, Gary, age two; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Bond, the maternal grandparent, Guy Noland of Anderson; a great-grandfather, Mack Estell of near Pendleton; a great-grandmother, Mrs. Ella Noland.
The body was taken to the V. C. Rector funeral home and was returned to the home Monday evening. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p. m. at the M. E. church by Rev. Ralph Blodgett with burial in the McCray cemetery near Wilkinson.
