A member of the San Diego Jaguar Car Club (SDJC), William died suddenly and unexpectedly. As a homage to "Bill", the club's board of directors created the William Tuchscher Memorial Award. The annual SDJC Tuchscher award goes to the SDJC member with a Jaguar at least twenty years old, scoring the highest points awarded in the Champion Division Class at the SDJC Concours d'Elegance that year.
