SCRIBNER, Kenneth W "Scrib" of Trenton, OH had his loving family by his side when he went home to be with the Lord to join his brother, sister, and grandparents on Saturday June 30, 2007 at 8:40 am at Middletown Regional Hospital.

Ken retired from the navy in 1996 after 20 years of service. He was in Iraq during Desert Storm in 1990-1991. He received several medals during his time in the navy & traveled all over the world. He was Sailor of the Month aboard the U.S.S Independence. He also served in Beirut, Lebanon in 1983 and help with the release of 444 hostages. In 1983 he also served in Grenada. Ken was a member of the Middletown Moose Lodge #501, was an avid Nascar fan, especially of Dale Earnhardt Sr and Dale Earnhardt Jr. He was a very special friend and person to all who knew him. After retiring from the Navy, he worked for Time Warner Cable for 11 years before his accident.

He was preceded in death by his brother Robin Scribner in 2001, sister, Debbie Scribner in 1960, paternal grandparents Chester and Mildred Scribner, and maternal grandparents, Roy and Bethel Roman. Ken is survived by his sons Joshua Scribner and his fiancee Stephanie House who are expecting Kenny's first grandchild, Chad Scribner and daughter Tia Scribner, all of Trenton; his parents Terrell and Bea Scribner of Trenton; sisters Sandi(Jack) Montgomery and Terri of Trenton who was his devoted caregiver since his auto accident in May 2005; multiple nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; his former wife Rhonda Scribner who was also his best friend; and another best friend Lora Wilson. He will be very much missed by everyone who knew and loved him. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all the nurses and techs on Main B at Middletown Regional Hospital, the doctors and nurses in the ER department, Vitas Hospice, Dr. Grandi and Dr. Wadhwa for their care and support for Ken and his family.

Visitation will by Thursday July 5, 2007 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Baker-Stevens Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Services will be held on Friday July 6, 2007 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the charity of your choice.
