Anita Lurene Hall, the daughter of Dallas Bernard and Ethel Viola (Peterman) Howes, was born at Bedford, Iowa on August 4, 1930, and passed away on February 14, 2008, at Shenandoah, Iowa. Anita spent her early life in Bedford and Shenandoah, Iowa, and was schooled in Bedford, Iowa. She was married to Duane McClintock from 1947 until 1951. They were blessed with two children, Jim and Jerry. In March of 1957 she was united in marriage, to Frank James Hall in Shenandoah, Iowa and after their marriage they lived in Essex and Shenandoah, Iowa and were blessed with six children, Teresa, Ronald, Brenda, Michael, Karen, and Larry. Anita was employed for many years working as a waitress at various establishments and raising her children. Anita enjoyed going to the library and reading books especially mysteries. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and loved visiting with her children and grandchildren.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Crystal Ames; brothers, Benny Howes, and Dallas Howes, Jr.; brothers-in-law, Jim Binns and Kenneth Moore.

Survivors include her husband Frank Hall of Shenandoah; children, Teresa Ward of Shenandoah and Dwayne Ward of Farragut, IA, Ronald Hall of Shenandoah, Brenda Binns of Red Oak, IA, Michael Hall and wife Tina of Florence, AL, Karen Houston and husband Marrell of Essex, IA, Larry Hall of Shenandoah, Jim McClintock and wife Marlene of Ankeny, IA, Jerry McClintock of Dexter, MO; brothers and sisters, David Howes and wife Sharon of Red Oak, IA, Ruth Marsh and husband Orville of Stanton, IA, Naomi Moore of Cedar Rapids, IA, Linda Hull of Green, IA, Richard Howes and wife Rosella of Greenfield, IA, Lois Young of Holstein, IA, Jean Kirk in Texas, Marilyn Bradley of Charles City, IA; grandchildren, Jeremy Ward and wife Jodi of Storm Lake, IA, Jesse Ward of Farragut, IA, and friend Tina Bishop, Tiffany Roberts and husband Wayne Roberts of Red Oak, IA, Christie Houston and fiancé Darcy Reimers of Yankton, SD, Michael Houston and wife Jillian of Maryville, MO, Jodi Daugherty of Yukon, OK, Ronni Smith of Yukon, OK; great grandchildren, Shelby, Rebecca and Dalen Roberts of Red Oak, IA; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins; along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services were held on Monday, February 18, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah. Words of Comfort were given by Rev. Rick Sleyster. Musical Selections included "Amazing Grace", "The Old Rugged Cross", and "When I Get To Where I'm Going". Casket Bearers were Dwayne Ward, Jesse Ward, Jeremy Ward, Michael Houston, Darcy Reimers, and Wayne Roberts. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah. Memorials are being directed to the family.
