"Theodore Bradfield, one of the old and highly respected citizens living near Algiers, died last Friday. The deceased was born in Ohio and came here with his parents when a small boy and has since resided here and became one of the useful citizens of Jefferson Township. At the breaking out of the war, he enlisted in Co E, 58th Indiana regiment and made a good soldier for his country. He leaves a wife and seven children to mourn his death. Funeral services were conducted at the Presbyterian Church at Algiers, Sunday morning by Rev James Hayden of Winslow, interment being made at Walnut Hills Cemetery, in this city. He was a member of the Masonic Odd Fellows and Red Men lodges, the former conducting the last rites at the cemetery. In his death the family and the community sustains a great loss."
