Funeral services for Billie Gene Alexander, 72, of Rosenberg, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, at the Davis Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg, with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Reverend John Lockhart will officiate the services. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Friday, June 5, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd. (FM 2218 and Highway 59), Rosenberg, 341-8800.

Billie Gene was born February 27, 1926 in Electra. He passed away Tuesday, June 2, 1998, in Rosenberg. He served in the Navy during WWII.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Russell and Merle Etta Alexander, and brother, Joseph Alexander.

He is survived by sons, Nicky Gene Alexander of Stafford and Billie Gene Alexander, Jr. of Houston; daughters, Billie Jean Alexander of Needville and Melanie Alexander of Needville; sister, Josephine Moffit of Houston; and two grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
