ST. CHARLES – Dennis R. Gandy, 68, of St. Charles, passed away peacefully on Monday June 13, 2011, surrounded by friends and family.

He was born Nov. 15, 1942, in Omaha, Neb., to Ralph and Clara Gandy.

He attended High School in Custer, SD and proceeded to graduate from the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology in Rapid City, S.D. After graduation, he moved to the Chicagoland area where he raised his family and served as executive vice president of Richardson Electronics. He spent his retirement years exploring the country with his wife of 40 years and enjoying time with his children, grandchildren, and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; sons, Jason and Scott; daughters-in-law, Jennifer and Mayumi; grandchildren, Evan and Reid; and brother, Robert.

There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday, June 17, at the Congregational United Church of Christ, 40W451 Fox Mill Blvd., St. Charles. You are welcome to arrive between 10 to 11 a.m. to visit with the family before the service.
