The Rev. Elias Awes, 86, 4728 Pleasant avenue, northwest clergy man since 1883 and field secretary of Ebenezer home for the aged, Minneapolis, 17 years, died Wednesday at his home.
Born in Norway, he came to Minneapolis in 1883 and later served pastorates in Dakota and Rice counties, at St. Hilaire, Minn., and at Northwood, N. D. He was an organizer of Oak Grove seminary, Fargo, and had been a member of Lutheran Free church since its founding.

Services 2 p.m. Saturday at Rosedale Lutheran church. Burial in Lakewood cemetery.
