Charles "Arnie" Schulz of Cotulla passed away on November 7, 2013 at the age of 90. He was born in Cameron, Texas on April 7, 1923 to Rudolph and Molly Schulz. Arnie worked for W.F. & J.F. Barnes for 20 years, then Foxworth-Galbraith. He retired after 32 years of working at the same lumber yard in Cotulla. Arnie loved to fish on he river and found great joy in feeding the Hill Country deer, they would come up and eat right out of his hands. Mr. Schulz is preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Molly Schulz; his wife, Lillian Schulz and son, Steven Schulz. Mr. Schulz is survived by his wife, Una Schulz; son, Chuck and wife Janel Schulz; daughter, Demaris Wilson; siblings, Esther, Edward, Floyd and Howard Schulz; daughter-in-law, Kathy Schulz; grandchildren, Walker Schulz and wife, Ann, Joel Schulz, Karen Tom and her husband, J.Pat, Pamela Mangum and husband Colby, Sean Hunt, Paul Wilson and Dereck McLindor as well as 8 great-grandchildren. A prayer service will be held at Peters Funeral Home on Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with Pastor C.J. Tillinghast officiating. Interment will follow at the Cotulla West Cemetery.
