Herman Jimmie Shelton, 80, passed away on November 7, 2013 at his home. Jimmie was born in Henry County, Virginia on September 18, 1933 to the late Herman and Flora Joyce Shelton. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his two daughters, Brenda Shelton and Judy Shelton.
Jimmie is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Shelton of the home; son, Brian Shelton of Bassett; daughters, Joyce Ross of Bassett, Linda Joyce of Collinsville and Shelia Shelton of the home; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Billy Shelton and Harry W. Shelton all of Bassett
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Joe Nunley officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Mount Herman Church of the Brethren Cemetery
