My great grandfather.

s/o William Marion Looney &
Mary Emaline Jones.

(2) h/o - Dora S. Jones.
Married 10-6-1902
Greene co., Tn.
David's brother, was married to Dora first.
David married her a couple years, after John's death.

Father of:
Frank Britton,
Roy Edgen,
Clara Mae "Mamie" (Morgan) &
Nola "Mae" (Metcalf) Looney- MY GRANDMOTHER

David never remarried after Dora's death in 1916.

In 1948, David's son, Roy, had David committed to the Central Insane Asylum in Nashville, Davidson, Tn. According to my Aunt Irene, (who visited David many times) claims that David was sane, but, Roy was able to commit him anyway. He did this in hopes of gaining access to David's money- which he did get. Over the years the guilt of what he had done to his Father, drove Roy insane himself.

David lived to be 95, spending the last 7 years of his life in that hospital. David and Roy are buried next to each other, but I am told, neither have a headstone.
