Frederick was a Drayman (Freighter} his stable and business was on Fayette Street in Syracuse, NY. There are newspaper articles describing the incident that led to his death in the archives of the Onondaga county Library. {Syracuse Herald} He failed to acknowledge a hand cranked traffic device and a Syracuse Patrolman jump up on his cart to arrest him. They fought and both fell to the ground. Frederick died from his injuries several days later.
