Marie Ferris, 92 years old, of Davenport, formerly of Independence, died Nov. 1, 2013 at Ridge Crest Village in Davenport. She was born Aug. 24, 1921 in Platte, S.D., the daughter of William Frederick and Adele Katherine (Tiedge) Gosch. She married on Sept 8, 1941 to Earl Lowell Ferris in Stanton, NE. They moved to Independence in 1948.
Marie is survived by two daughters, Judy (William) Wentz of League City, TX and Kay Ferris of Eldridge, and two sons, Ron (Denise) Ferris of Dickinson, TX and Mike (Rebecca) Ferris of Davenport., 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three brothers.
