Gertrude was the daughter of Martin Camfferman and Clasine Godee. On Feb. 6, 1932 she married Florian Habley with whom she was married to for 55 years. Gert and Flory were the parents of four children, Virjean Willock, Sharon Shields, Martin Habley, and Wesley Habley.
