He was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo Clarence Patterson Sr. and Lyda Elouise Bates Patterson.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene Laine Patterson; 3 children, Melody, Lisa, and Pat; 1 grandchild; and several brothers and sisters.
