Anita V. Lucas, 70, of Moss Point, MS passed away September 22, 2013. She was born July 20, 1943 to Mr. William Dowe Oliver and Mrs. Sophia Canfield Oliver in Escatawpa, MS. She spent most of her adult life in Pittsburg. Mrs. Lucas was a talented artist who painted beautiful scenes. She was a member of Safe Harbor United Methodist Church and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Lucas leaves cherished memories to her husband, Jerry L. Lucas and sons Jason (Kendra) Lucas and Justin Lucas. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jackson Dowe Lucas and Harrison Lucas, her parents William Dowe and Sophia Oliver and her brother W.D. Oliver, Jr. She will be greatly missed by numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Mrs. Anita Lucas will be Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. David Cumbest officiating. Burial will follow in Griffin Cemetery.
