Jefferson City News-Tribune (MO) - Tuesday, October 23, 2007:

George E. Hohenstreet, 72, of Duluth, Ga., died October 18, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Hohenstreet, a native of Jefferson City, Mo., was a graduate of Lincoln University, Captain U.S. Army Ranger and a retired Manager at Lucent Technologies.

He is survived by: three sons, Brad Hohenstreet of St. Charles, Mo., Jake Hohenstreet of Dunwoody, Ga. and Chris Peterson of Lilburn, Ga.; two daughters, Lisa Dixon of Catlettsburg, Ky. and Hannah Collins of Conyers, Ga.; four brothers, Bob Hohenstreet of Jefferson City, Mo., Nick Hohenstreet of Kansas City, Mo., Jim Hohenstreet of Corona, Calif., and Bill Hohenstreet of Kansas City, Mo.; sister, Nancy Lueckenhoff of Quincy, Ill.; and six grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27th, at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens in Jefferson City. Online condolences may be expressed at www.crowellbrothers.com. Arrangements by Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home, Norcross, GA. (770) 448-5757.
