John M. "Jack" Farrell, 81, passed away on a Tuesday, at D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans.

He was the son of Thomas and Mary (Holland) Farrell. Jack attended Escanaba schools and the enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served from Aug. 14, 1952, until he was honorably discharge with a 100 percent disability on May 14, 1954.

Jack did volunteer work at the Salvation Army, he helped with the Salvation Army youth camp in the summer and the Christmas Basket deliveries at Christmastime. He enjoyed going to camp and the outdoors.

John M. "Jack" Farrell was survived by: two brothers; one sister, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to parents he was preceded in death by: brother, Tom; and sisters, Betty, Mary Lou, Mae, Joyce, Dorothy, Eva Mae and Shirley.

Visitation at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Delta County Veterans services and funeral services at Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Page officiating. Burial in Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
