Eileen M. Polzin, 93, passed away April 23rd, 2017, at Rennes Health Center West, in Peshtigo, WI where she was a resident. She was born January 3rd, 1924, daughter of the late Louis and Annie (Oakeson) Bartels.
Eileen married Carl W. Polzin Jr. on August 17th, 1946, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Grover. Carl preceded her in death on September 11th, 1992. Eileen was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Grover and her favorite pastimes were reading and playing bingo.
Eileen is survived by three sons: Roger (Amber) Polzin, Mark (Shirlee) Polzin and Larry (Sherry) Polzin, all of Peshtigo, WI; and her grandchildren: Teri and Perry Geisfeldt, Amy (Matt) Kehl, Alexis (Jared) Templeton, Rebecca (Matt) Marotz, Ryan (Alisha) Polzin, Rachel (Peter) North, Craig (Christine) Polzin, Corey (Melissa) Polzin, and Chad Polzin. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren: Lucy, Norah, Macy, Marshall, Brielle, Leona, Brady, Andrew, Logan and Carson.
Along with her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her daughter, Gail Geisfeldt; a brother, Ernest; and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Polzin.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 27th, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Grover from 9:30 a.m. until services at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Charles Learman officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo.
