Ralph Ross Snodgrass, 69, of Springfield died Thursday at Memorial Medical Center.

He was born April 26, 1925, in Springfield, the son of Ralph and Edith Thacker Snodgrass.

He married Norma Jean Kornfeld in 1948.

Mr. Snodgrass was a lifelong resident of Springfield.

He owned and operated Snodgrass Construction.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

He was a member of St. Paul's Espicopal Chuch and American Legion.

Survivors: wife, Norma Jean Snodgrass; two daughters, Mrs. Authur (Penny) Taylor of Mechanicsburg and Mrs. Richard (Beth) Shartzer of San Clemente, Calif.; a son, David Snodgrass, of Springfield; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Don (Edith) Houston of Jacksonville; a brother, Richard Snodgrass of Chapin; two half-brothers, Carrol Houston of Auburn and Ed Houston of Jacksonville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private familiy services will be held.

Burial: Camp Butler National Cemetery.
