Mrs. Broughton died Wednesday, November 6, 2013. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of Joseph B. Marshall Sr. and Michelle Joyner Marshall. She was employed with the United States Postal Service. Erica was a volunteered fire fighter with Buffalo-Mt. Pisgah Fire Department. She enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Erica was a proud mother who loved spending time with her family. She was a member of Abney Baptist Church where she and her husband was devoted to leading the youth program.
Surviving are her husband of 3 years, Derek Allen Broughton; son, Brayden Allen Broughton; brother, B.J. Marshall (fiancée, Megan Gardner) of Bethune; maternal grandparents, Sonny and Linda Farmer; father and mother-in-law, Rev. Tim and Peggy Broughton; special aunts, Melissa, Lynn, Wendy and Amanda; and many cousins. She was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Joseph and Betty Marshall.
