Vietnam vet.Lester was the son of Walter K. Weaver, Sr. and Florence A.C. Smith-Weaver. He was one of 12 offspring and his siblings are as follows: Edna, b.1934-d.1934; Sarah, b.1936-d.1938; Anna, b.1938; Catherine, b.1940-d.1976; Walter, Jr., b. 1941; Fae, b.1942; Florence, b. 1944; Jacob, b.1946; James, b.1949-d.2005; Jay E., b.1953; and Carrie, b. 1954. Lester was employed as a meat cutter for several years and then after completing welding school, he opened his own welding business. He served 4 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, attaining the rank of Corporal while in the Viet Nam War. He was honorably discharged from the Marines and later married Mary E. Herman-Fisher. They lived in Shamokin Dam, Pa. until he succumbed to cancer.
