James William Wakefield was born on May 2, 1924 in Charleston, Arkansas to William Jewell Wakefield and Ruthie Mae (Hargrove) Wakefield. He passed peacefully from this life with his family at his side on November 3, 2013 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years, 6 months & 1 day.

Jim retired from W.C. Norris in 1986 after 24 years. He was a United States Army World War II veteran who had served in Europe. He will be fondly remembered by his family for his loves of steam engine trains and horses. He enjoyed going to farm equipment and estate auctions and had quite a collection from over the years. In his later years, he loved to golf. He was "Uncle Bud" to many nieces and nephews. Most of all, Dad loved his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister; Mary Jewel Gillespie.
