John T. Bass Rites Monday
Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. for John T. Bass, 43, 309 South Ave., Fort Walton Beach. A native of Covington County, Ala, Mr. Bass died Saturday in the Fort Walton Beach Hospital. He was an automobile salesman in Fort Walton Beach. He will be buried at Sunset Cemetery Valparaiso following services at Cinco Baptist Church with Rev. Talmadge Smith officiating. Funeral arrangements were handled by McLaughlin Mortuary. He is survived by his wife, Annie; three sons, Johnny, Gary and Phillip; two daughters, Shelia and Dianne and his mother, Mrs. Lula Bass, all of Fort Walton Beach. Seven brothers, Luther Bass and Fletcher Bass, Opp, Ala.; Calvin Adams, Opp, Ala.; Angus Adams, Andalusia, Ala.; Tass Bass, Winter Haven, Fla.; Grady Bass, Opp, Ala.; and Malcolm Bass, DeFuniak Springs, Fla. Six sisters, Mrs. Ocie Barbree and Mrs. Gladys Owens, For Walton Beach; Mrs. Opal son, Winter Garden, Fla.; Mrs Charlie Bowden, Mrs. Eunie Sasser and Mrs. Estie Boutwell all of Opp, Ala. Active pallbearers will be Dick Barrier, Bill Manning, Glen Shanburg, Joe Frank, Bill Bromfield and Wallace Cassinno.
